✨Make Your Own Fullerene Mobile!✨
Fullerenes are incredibly unique shapes composed of pentagonal and hexagonal faces (with trivalent vertices). Theoretically, an infinite number of these structures can exist. Beyond the well-known Buckminsterfullerene C60, a truncated icosahedron found in chemistry, fullerenes also pop up in various places like the geometric Weaire-Phelan structure, the newly discovered mineral Chibaite, and even in outer space.
Why not bring your own fullerene to life?
This activity is highly recommended for school events, children's clubs, parent-child math, science, and STEAM events, and art/design workshops.
